Manufacturing Sales Fall in June After Three Straight Monthly Gains

After three months in a row of gains, manufacturing sales fell 1.8 per cent to $53.9 billion in June, Statistics Canada reported Thursday.

The federal agency says drop came due to lower sales in the petroleum and coal product, transportation equipment and chemical industries.

Sales fell in 15 of 21 industries, representing almost three quarters of Canada’s entire manufacturing output. Click here to read more.
